Yesterday I visited 'Sale And Pepe Ristorante Italiano' in Thaltej, Ahmedabad. As the name suggests, it is a restaurant, which serves vegetarian Italian food.The restaurant is located in Times Square Arcade,Thaltej-Shilaj Road, Ahmedabad (Gujarat).
If you are a true Amdavadi and a foodie, you would be aware that on weekends we can't have dinner in a proper restaurant without wasting 40 minutes on waiting but on weekdays the situation is quite opposite. To our surprise, this place was fully occupied even on Wednesday. We were a group of 11, so we had booked our table in advance. Therefore we didn't have any trouble getting in.
This place has positive vibes and immediately after entering, you have a smile on your face. The beautiful wallpaper catches your eye, giving you a feel of Italy. The staff is supportive, service is fast, ambience is good but the rate is slightly on higher side.
We ordered a few Pizzas, Minestrone soup, Mushroom tagliatelle pasta, Avocado toast, Arancini balls in marinara. The Pizzas were authentic, cooked in a brick oven. Inspite of not being a mushroom lover I found the Pasta quite delicious. My favourite ones were Avocado toast and Arancini balls.
